Botesdale Health Centre

NVQ Level 2 Dispensary Assistant 
We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic individual to join our busy dispensing team, providing support and a high quality service to all patients and clinical staff. Full training will be provided for the right candidate, however some pharmacy/dispensary and customer service experience and an NVQ level 2 in pharmacy service skills is desirable.
Applicants must be self-motivated and have a willingness to learn and be trained. You must possess good attention to detail, and produce work to the required standard whilst meeting deadlines. Confidentiality is paramount, therefore having a professional manner is essential and the successful candidate will be required to sign and abide by our confidentiality agreement.

Duties will include;

  • Processing repeat prescription requests
  • Dealing with enquires either face to face, or over the phone
  • Assembling and dispensing medication
  • Ordering stock
  • Handing out prescriptions
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • To be able to work to strict protocols and have good attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative
  • To communicate effectively
  • Competent IT skills 
  • 5 GCSE at grade C or above, or equivalent
Job Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Part Time
We have 50 hours a week available to cover two vacancies. Salary is dependent on experience

Dispensary Counter Assistant
We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic individual to join our busy dispensing team, providing support and a high quality service to all patients and clinical staff.  pharmacy/dispensary and customer service experience is desirable, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.

  • Requesting repeat medications on the clinical system
  • Ordering stock
  • Handing out prescriptions
  • Ensuring payments are taken and processed for prescriptions / forms are completed correctly

  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative

  • 5 GCSE at grade C or above, or equivalent

Receptionist
We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic individual to join our busy reception team, providing support and a high quality service to all patients and clinical staff. Reception and customer service experience is essential, and a working knowledge of General Practice would be an advantage.
Applicants must be self-motivated and have a willingness to learn and work as part of a team. You must possess good attention to detail, and produce work to the required standard whilst meeting deadlines. Confidentiality is paramount, therefore having a professional manner is essential and the successful candidate will be required to sign and abide by our confidentiality agreement.
Duties will include;

  • Dealing with enquires either face to face, or over the phone
  • Data input onto the clinical system
  • Ensuring urgent matters are identified and passed to the correct person or clinician
  • Booking appointments onto the clinical system
  • Administrative work including typing, faxing, photocopying, scanning and taking & passing on messages
  • Processing incoming & outgoing mail
  • Filing and retrieving paperwork
  • Providing clerical assistance to clinicians and members of practice staff
  • Ensuring the security of the building and dealing with visitors and contractors on-site according to practice procedures
  • Ensuring the reception and patient waiting areas are well-presented and tidy
  • Handing over work and information to the staff on the next shift
  • Undertaking mandatory training as required for the role

Skills required:
